Companion:  Elder Miles

Wow, this week was sweet!  Good times here in Bella Union!  Our adventures for the week were few but good.

We taught in Gomensoro.  I have pics of Gomensoro and our adventure down there, but I forgot to copy them from my comp so they are on his cámara.  We went down and found some people and taught some great lessons, but none of them made the 16-mile trip up to Bella Union to come to the meetings here on Sunday.

WE HAD A BAPTISM!!!  Gustavo is a cool kid.  He has been going to church for about a month or so.  We had 3 baptisms as a ward up here this last week!  It’s awesome!!!!  So far this year there has been more baptisms than the years past combined.

Fulfilling a prophecy:  Our baptism day was really quite chill and uneventful other than the amazing part that Gustavo got baptized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My comp’s first baptism in the mission—he was pretty excited! So now we are teaching Gustavo’s parents to see if we can fulfill the prophecy that children one day will teach their parents the gospel hahaha.

We are teaching a FAMILY. We have been working really hard to find new people that are ready to commit their lives to God, but its rough business here.  We have one family related to another member family. So we are teaching the whole family. That is one thing I still want to do before I leave the mission, baptize a complete family, but we will see what happens

The church is true, Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God, and the Book of Mormón contains the pure word of God!

I love you!

From our emailing:  I was asking Jon if he remembered teaching English to a certain Latin elder (who was grateful for that.) He described how he is so completely enveloped in the work there that he doesn’t remember things elsewhere.

I can’t even imagine what it feels like to be home anymore . . . hahah I really can’t. thinking about driving a car doesn’t even make sense haha having hot water all the time...  carpet!!  that doesn’t even exist . . .  as far as brownies and English and stuff,  I’ve taught a lot of Latins English
