Christmas was awesome!!!! That phone call on Christmas was the
fastest 45 minutes of my life. I could
still hear the fam talking when I cut out, haha, but you couldn’t hear me haha.
It was funny.
Alexis was baptized Christmas Eve. Some great things have
been happening here. We had a baptism!!! I forgot to tell my fam
yesterday, haha. Alexis, the kid we have
been teaching is a stud and was super ready! The branch was a little iffy about
doing it on Christmas Eve, but it was a great experience. I gave a talk. Alexis was super stoked to get
baptized!
Our
font is a little different than the
ones I’ve had in the past, but it was great!!!
My area is really one big street with a few
streets branching off it. It’s small. Over the next 3 months I have a
feeling I will get to know a lot of these people. We met some hard-hearted ones
this week. For talking about Christ on Christmas,
we got rejected a lot and quite.... “pleasantly,” we´ll say. My personal
favorite was a guy that answered the door, “Hello... goodbye” and slammed the
door in record time! It was like in .54
seconds while saying hello and bye. I was impressed, hahaha.
They are considering building a chapel. Maybe the people are not
too excited about mish work, but I’m
super excited to implement the Prophet’s new plan! After our conference 2 weeks ago, I know how
to do it. The area, just a branch, has some great recent converts and 3 strong
active families. They are talking about building a building for them. I’m going
to be part of the extra push to make the final decision.
Today was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We
watched Kung Fu Panda 2 for Christmas. Jack Black is a genius!!!! I love
that man. Movies are pretty intense these days. Goodness, that was pretty action-packed!!! The
laughter, tears and heart- pounding moments—that movie has it all!!!
I said my goodbyes to the great guys up in Bella Union.
Good company in Colonia area! I got to see my old comp,
Elder Mariner. He is down here with Elder Wilson from the MTC!!! It’s
always good to be in good company! We
are looking forward to lots of baptisms in an area that doesn’t really have
that much.
All in all, I love you, fam and friends!! Merry Christmas and happy New Year from Colonia.
Enjoy the holiday season! Remember
the magic of the times..... and have an awesome
day!
The church is true. Christ is our Savior and God’s
power has once again been returned to the earth! I know that with all my heart, mind and
whole soul!
Love,
Elder
Jonathan Albrethsen!
