Prayers That Are Answered Quickly

Where to begin . . . We had a pretty eventful week.

(Picture is a generic picture of missionaries praying)
Some prayers that were answered quickly in the past: Wow, one of the random and amazing miracles that really makes me just stand back in awe were the times that I had received an answer to a prayer so soon, once in about 3 minutes. Then, later I got an answer to another one in about 30 seconds flat.  haha That was a good day!  But what happened this week tops it all!

Answer came right as we prayed:  We had finished a great day. I believe it was last Monday or Tuesday, not sure. We had knelt down to pray and give thanks for the great day that we had had. We’ve been looking for new people to teach and asked for that in our prayer and in about 5 seconds I heard a knock (clap) at our door. I figured it was for the neighbors and continued the prayer when I heard another clap at the door about 15 seconds later.  After going to the door and finding a man about our age there getting into his car, we asked if he needed something. He stuttered and asked if the house was for rent. haha We said “no” and asked if there was anything else we could do. He hesitated and finally admitted, “Yes, I have had a lot of things going wrong in my life and I need some help and I thought of the missionaries.”

We’ve begun teaching Emiliano. So long story short, after 15 seconds and before I could even finish the prayer, the Lord had blessed us by sending someone in need right to our door!!!  It was sweet!  We had a couple lessons with him during the week. It’s true he has got some really crappy stuff going on in his life.  He made a good choice to come see us. Emiliano is his name.  I hope he continues to keep learning.  We will see.

We got rained on for 2 days, Wednesday and Thursday.  It was rough. We had a few good visits and a lot of people who  promised to come to church, but they didn’t quite make it.

Training (my new companion) continues to be awesome!!! I wouldn’t mind doing it again after the 12-week program is up.   It’s a lot of fun! Haha

Big event—a wedding! A member finally got married to a recent convert.  They had been dating for a couple years. It was sweet. We went to the ceremony, but missed the party.  They were super happy haha

We have been plotting about traveling to a city that is about 20 miles south of here to start a branch (small congregation).  It’s a big shot, but we have about a month to coordinate everything and we are going to give it try.  So we will see how it goes.

Sorry, mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No pictures, but next week for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you all and remember that the church is true and that what goes around comes around.  Always do good to your neighbor!!!!  (see video below)

Have an amazing week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
